Includes action tips, calendar of events, book reviews, and discussions with experts in the field.

2. Great library of bibliographies, abstracts, and media tools including a ten-session tutorial sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency. Hosted by the Center for Sustainable Communities, this page provides case studies on sustainable communities and organizations nationwide.

3. You like paradigm shifts? Join others at the Sustainable Communities Network in redesigning the economy to promote sustainable practices. This site gives tips on protecting natural resources and emphasizes work with local governments. Good links to other groups.

4. If you believe that education is the key to change, then Second Nature is for you. Includes an on-line collection of curricula materials, teaching methods, and courses with environmental and sustainability content. Emphasis on consumption and broader issues of sustainability.

5. The Europeans are outrunning the Americans in the debate over sustainable consumption and production. The Department for Policy Coordination and Sustainable Development, a United Nations site, helps users keep abreast of international developments on sustainability and provides useful alerts on upcoming meetings and international forums. Primary focus on United Nation activities. Includes links to other sites.
